How we design to withstand the test of time

According to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, 80% of a product’s environmental impact is determined at the design stage. Far from being just a statistic, this figure defines the way we work at Resol. For decades, we’ve been designing with one clear idea in mind: what lasts, matters.

From our first chair in 1985 to the latest additions to the Resol catalogue, everything we create is made to endure. To withstand use, weather, fleeting trends and, above all, time. We design with durability in mind, because we believe the surrounding objects should accompany us through life—and in fact, a good outdoor chair or terrace table can become part of a story that unfolds over years.

Designing to last is designing with care

That pursuit of longevity begins with the first sketch. Every curve, texture and material choice reflects a long-term vision. We oversee the entire production process, ensuring not only technical quality but also a deep commitment to responsible design. We choose 100% recyclable materials and incorporate both post-industrial and post-consumer recycled plastics — extending lifecycles and avoiding unnecessary waste. Because designing to last is also designing to care.

Mediterranean inspiration for more conscious living

At Resol, we see design as both a responsibility and an attitude. Guided by our Mediterranean philosophy, we create honest, functional and calming furniture — pieces that breathe light, balance and serenity. Furniture that fits in both shared and domestic spaces, flowing naturally with the rhythm of daily life.

Resol’s outdoor furniture gains character with time — adapting, aging gracefully. It’s made to be lived in: to host long conversations, shared silences, the sun filtering through the trees…

When you choose Resol, you choose a different way of inhabiting the world: more conscious, more connected to your surroundings, and to the values that truly matter. Behind each of our chairs, tables or sofas lies something timeless — the desire to create objects that last, that accompany, that speak of you.
