Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about Resol furniture: materials, indoor and outdoor use, purchasing and distribution, resources for professionals, warranty and after-sales service.

Product

What are Resol furniture pieces made of?

Most of the furniture is based on injected polypropylene, Resol's technical speciality, reinforced with glass fibre in many models and always with UV protection. Depending on the collection, other materials are combined: aluminium (as in the original Toledo chair), high-pressure laminate (HPL) tabletops, technical outdoor fabrics for upholstery and 850 g/m² textilene in the sun loungers. Each product page states the material, weight and available options.

Are Resol chairs sturdy?

Yes. They are designed for intensive, long-term use, both indoors and outdoors: glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene, UV protection and structures conceived for hospitality, hotels, restaurants and terraces. That is why Resol offers, in addition to the legal warranty, a 2-year commercial warranty for professional use.

Can the furniture be left outdoors? Does it withstand sun and rain?

Yes. All Resol furniture is conceived for outdoor use: the materials include UV protection against fading and resist moisture and weathering. The HPL tabletops are waterproof and non-porous, and the outdoor fabrics resist UV radiation, moisture and mould.

What is the difference between "resin" and polypropylene?

What is commonly called "resin" furniture is, in Resol's case, injected polypropylene: a technical, lightweight and resistant material that can also incorporate a percentage of recycled plastic. Resol has been working with recycled polypropylene, both post-industrial and post-consumer, for years.

Are the chairs stackable?

Most Resol chairs are stackable, which is essential in hospitality for quick storage and cleaning. Each product page states whether the model is stackable and its characteristics; some models also accept a linking clip between chairs for conventions and events.

Can they also be used indoors?

Yes. Most products are designed for both indoor and outdoor use, in residential as well as professional spaces.

How much do the products weigh?

It depends on the model and is stated on each product page. As a reference: the Fiona chair weighs 4.14 kg and the Marina Club sun lounger 10.65 kg.

Which colours are available? Can special colours be ordered?

Resol has its own colour palette inspired by the land where it manufactures (Nácar, Boletus, Luna, Salvia, Olivo, Duna, Trufa, Greda, Rosal, Albero, Marina, Roca, Noche…), which varies by collection. Printed colours are indicative: for an exact reference, colour chip samples can be requested from the sales department. Some collections offer special versions on request.

Do you use recycled materials?

Yes. The Toledo Aire collection is made of 100% recycled polypropylene; other collections, such as Brisa, combine recycled material, bio-based foam and fabrics with recycled content. Resol has committed that by 2027 all its injected products will contain at least 30% recycled material, and its management system is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 14006 (ecodesign).

What furniture do you recommend for a hospitality terrace?

Stackable, lightweight chairs, tables with HPL tabletops and, for lounge areas, outdoor armchairs or sofas. In the website categories you can filter by type and see in which projects (hotels, restaurants, terraces) each product has been used.

Do you have sun loungers for hotel pools?

Yes. The Marina Club and Sky Club sun loungers are designed for intensive use: polypropylene structure with glass fibre, heat-welded 850 g/m² Club fabric, reclining, with wheels and stackable.

Where can I find the dimensions of a chair or table?

On the technical sheet (PDF) of each product, which can be downloaded from its page on the website: it includes dimensions, weight, materials and options. For projects, the Professional Area also provides the 2D, 3D and BIM files with exact measurements.

Do you have folding outdoor chairs?

Yes. The Boss collection is a functional and versatile folding outdoor chair, designed for spaces that need to store furniture quickly.

Are the products recyclable at the end of their life?

Yes. Polypropylene is a recyclable material, and Resol applies ecodesign criteria throughout the product life cycle, with a management system certified to ISO 14006. Resol also uses recycled polypropylene, both post-industrial and post-consumer, in its production.

What is the difference between the Toledo and Toledo Aire chairs?

Toledo is the aluminium chair designed by Jorge Pensi in 1988, a design icon. Toledo Aire is its reinterpretation in 100% recycled polypropylene, created by Pensi Design Studio: it keeps the shape and character of the original with a lighter, more sustainable material.

How are they cleaned and maintained?

Polypropylene: a soft cloth, warm water and neutral soap, or a 50% water and 50% alcohol solution. HPL and melamine tabletops: a soft cloth, warm water and neutral soap, drying thoroughly afterwards. Metal structures: a non-abrasive damp cloth and neutral soap, without sponges or objects that may scratch. Upholstery: follow the recommendations of each fabric manufacturer.
