A perfect example: ERRE & Urrechu, the luxury grill restaurant at Hotel Torre Melina Gran Meliá in Barcelona. Designed by Mur Arquitectura, it’s one of those spaces where everything seems to have a purpose and a rhythm. The kitchen, led by chef Iñigo Pérez Urrechu, former head chef under Martín Berasategui during his Michelin rise, works like a love letter to fire. Erre means “to burn” in Basque, but the verb here is more elegant than it sounds: holm oak wood for meat, orange tree wood for vegetables, olive tree wood for fish. Three intensities, three nuances, one shared respect for the product.

The space, therefore, had to speak the same language. And the Rest armchair, designed by Josep Lluscà, does so naturally within this setting. For this project, it was upholstered in a deep green, chosen to harmonize with a sinuous bench that runs through the room: an interior in the same green tone, an exterior in walnut wood, a high backrest, and a curvature that embraces and defines the area, creating an enveloping landscape.
