Chairs for hospitality
For bars, restaurants, terraces and hotels. Designed and made in Les Preses, Girona.
A hospitality chair gets moved dozens of times a day, it is cleaned daily and it goes in and out of the terrace. That is why we design them around three priorities: that they weigh little, that they stack so the place can be cleared and cleaned quickly, and that they stand up to heavy outdoor use.
We make them by injecting polypropylene, in many models reinforced with fibreglass, and in some collections we combine it with a metal frame. There are chairs with and without arms, for indoor and outdoor use, so the dining room and the terrace can share the same model.
Every chair has a downloadable technical sheet. If you are specifying a restaurant, a hotel or a workspace, the Professional Area also has the 2D, 3D and BIM files.

Frequently asked questions about hospitality chairs
Which chairs should I choose for a bar, a restaurant or a terrace?
On the terrace and at the bar, weight and stacking decide: if everything is cleared away each night, how light the chair is and how many stack determine how long closing takes. In a restaurant dining room comfort matters more, because the customer stays seated longer, and chairs with arms work better.
If the venue has both a dining room and a terrace, it pays to choose a model suitable for indoor and outdoor use: you buy a single chair and the space keeps the same look inside and out.
Which chairs are used in a hotel?
In a hotel the challenge is usually not choosing a chair, but making sure the terrace, the pool, the restaurant and the common areas do not look like four different hotels. That is why several of our collections bring together chair, stool and armchair from the same family.
In Projects you can see how hotels and restaurants working with Resol have solved it.
Are polypropylene chairs hard wearing?
Yes. Injected polypropylene is a technical material, light and recyclable, and in many of our models it is reinforced with fibreglass for the intensive use of hospitality. Most carry UV protection against fading; each model's sheet states it.
What is commonly called "resin" furniture is, in our case, injected polypropylene.
What does it mean for a chair to be stackable?
That the chairs fit on top of each other so they can be stored in little space. In hospitality it is what lets you close, mop the floor and set the room or the terrace up again without fighting the furniture.
Many of our chairs stack and each model's sheet states how many units. Some models also take a linking clip between chairs, made for conferences and events with rows.
Do you have tables and stools to match the chairs?
Can they be left outdoors all year round?
No, and we prefer to say so before you buy. They are made for heavy outdoor use, but not for permanent exposure: they resist damp, sun and the weather, and even so the guarantee conditions advise against leaving them outdoors constantly.
To make them last, store them away from sun, damp and high temperatures when they are not in use. We advise against environments with high salinity for pieces with synthetic fibres, wood, aluminium or stainless steel.
How long does a hospitality chair last?
It depends above all on use and maintenance: a chair cleaned as we recommend and stored when not in use lasts many more seasons than one that spends the winter in the street.
For professional use we offer, on top of the legal guarantee, a 2 year commercial guarantee. The full conditions are in the General Guarantee.
How are they cleaned?
With clean water at moderate pressure to remove dirt. If it is stuck on, use a damp cloth and neutral detergent, drying them well afterwards.
On metal surfaces, a damp non abrasive cloth and neutral soap, with no scourers or anything that could scratch.
Do they contain recycled material?
Yes, in part of the range. Some of our chairs are made in post consumer recycled polypropylene, and each model's sheet states it. We explain what it is and where it comes from in what recycled polypropylene is.
Where are they sold and can I order for a whole project?
Resol sells through distributors, and projects are handled by our sales team by area. Tell us what you need through the contact form and we will put you in touch with the person for your area.
If you are a professional, the Professional Area has the 2D, 3D and BIM files, the catalogues and the Quick Shipping service, with references in stock.
